Work Experience

Four Eyes Lab

HCI & Augmented Reality Researcher

Sept 2024 — Sept 2025
  • Design and instrument end-to-end AR experimentation system (Unity, Magic Leap 2) to log interaction events, accuracy, confidence scores, and workload metrics across 32 users x 8 trials, enabling statistically robust analysis
  • Evaluate participant trends with R, showing that explicit task cueing produced a statistically significant (p < 0.05) improvement in object recall accuracy for in-scene items, validating realtime cue driven performance gains in AR interfaces

UC Santa Barbara

Teaching Assistant

Sept 2023 — Jun 2025
  • Lead course 3x/week for software engineering legacy project class of 96 students and mentor student teams on large scale legacy applications in Java/Spring Boot + React, over 6 quarters of the course.
  • Address debugging queries, grade programming assignments, and conduct code reviews of novel feature implementations to support students’ understanding of software development and Git.

UC Santa Barbara

Software Engineering Researcher

Jan 2025 — Mar 2025
  • Analyze Git commit data across course iterations with Python to understand and improve student usage of Agile methodologies, doubling productivity and influencing software best practices in project codebases.
  • Maintain 4 Java/Spring Boot + React repositories with Github Actions, software design documentation, backlogs, and code reviews, reinforcing collaboration and code quality in legacy applications.

Dropbox

Software Engineering Intern

Jun 2023 — Sept 2023
  • Build and optimize full-stack File Requests feature using Python + React/Typescript, enabling scalable, cross platform file upload with email attachments.
  • Improve collaboration workflows for 5+ enterprise teams and thousands of users, shipping and strengthening production infrastructure and responding to user needs

UC Santa Barbara

Software Engineering Intern

Jun 2022 — Aug 2022
  • Develop REST API services powering full-stack React web application used by 150+ students, simulating limitations on environmental resources in the real world
  • Integrate automated testing and CI/CD pipelines within 3 repositories, ensuring 100% test coverage and accelerating developer iteration cycles

About Me

Hi there, I’m Sangita! I completed my Master's and Bachelors in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am an aspiring software engineer with a passion for building web applications and designing intuitive user experiences. With experience in developing for applications of AR and industry/research experience in software engineering, I always enjoy tackling complex problems to improve user experiences and leverage human-AI interaction. When I’m not coding or designing, you can find me at the gym, trying out a new recipe I found on Instagram, or bullet journaling!
